Why You Should Build Your Marketing Funnel Into Your Website

Have you heard the saying “Websites are Dead”?

There is a famous marketer going around spruiking the idea that websites are dead.

To be fair he is right for a very small percentage of the market.

For example, if you’re an online marketer selling a high priced ticket item, you’re extremely good at running highly successful Facebook Ads campaigns and you aren’t afraid of spending thousands of dollars every week on ads then yes, one funnel may work for you.

But the reality is most small to medium business owners have very different skills, needs and marketing.

And they need a website.

Their paid adverting budgets aren’t as big, their Facebook Ad budgets aren’t as high and their target audience is a lot smaller.

As a small to medium business owner, your website is your shopfront.

It’s what people tend to see before they actually come to your place of business.

Before they call you, most will see your website.

Your website is one of the most important assets in your business and you need to make it a priority for your business.

What you need to do is build your marketing funnel into your website.

Now if you’ve worked with an agency to run paid advertising, typically they’ll build a marketing funnel which is hidden from your website.

We disagree with this approach.

Over the years we have built countless marketing funnels, and we used to build them off the website too.

Then we asked ourselves, “Wow if this is working so well why isn’t it on the home page? Why isn’t it on the services page? Why isn’t this funnel entry point on the About Us page or the Contact Us page?”

And you know what?

There was no reason why?

It just wasn’t done that way by most marketers.

So now we build marketing funnels into websites.

We call these websites Sales Driven Websites.

A Sales Driven Website is a website that attracts visitors, captures their contact details and nurtures them through emails and Facebook Ads until they’re ready to purchase your service or product.

I want to encourage you to look at your website and decide is it a marketing funnel or if it is a bunch of pages mimicking a brochure which just brags about how good your business is.

On the other hand, a funnel is a very clear sales process you take a cold prospect through to warm them into a hot prospect until they are ready to make a buying decision.

Then it goes one step further and helps you close them into a client.

If you have an online brochure instead of a Sales Driven Website with a marketing funnel built-in, then book in a strategy call with me.

During our 30 minute call, I will benchmark your website against a Sales Driven website and show you how you can bring it up to standard to turn it into a lean, mean sales machine.
