Why isn't my physio clinic getting more new patients?
It's rarely a lack of people looking. In Perth alone, people search for a physio about 6,600 times a month, and even in Townsville it's about 390. Physio clinics lose those patients to four problems, and the fix is the right marketing for your clinic's size, done in order.
What's going wrong now
- Your website reads like every other physio clinic
- Paying an agency monthly with no idea what it brings
- A new grad's diary half empty for months
- Gaps in your Pilates classes and pelvic health lists
What our clients get
- Patients see what your clinic is known for
- New patient bookings you can count, by service
- A full diary for each physio you add
- The services you've invested in, booked out
Nobody can promise you a set number of new patients, and we won't. This is what we see again and again with past clients.
Case study · A chiropractor in Mackay
Our nearest proof: a chiropractor in Mackay went from 5.9 to 9.3 online bookings a day
It's a chiropractic clinic, not physio, but its patients search for back and neck pain the way yours do, then book online. With three chiropractors it was already on rung two and running Google Ads. We rebuilt the website, linked every service to the Google profile, and left the Google Ads exactly as they were.
- Online bookings a day
5.99.3First 10 days after launch - Completed online bookings
292351Six weeks before and after launch - Cost per booking from Google Ads
$15.62$13.82Same ads, same $2,558 spend
They'd been paying for SEO before the rebuild. The new website did so well that they stopped the SEO, as we recommend on rung two, then got so busy they cut back their Google Ads too.
First, a physiotherapy website that books new patients
Every physio marketing service runs through your website and the Google Business Profile linked to it. With one or two physios, that pair is usually all the marketing a clinic needs, so it's usually where we start. The call confirms it, because every clinic is different and some are the exception.
A page for what you treat
Sports injuries, back pain, pelvic health, post-surgery rehab and clinical Pilates each get their own page, so patients stop seeing “all conditions”.
Learn moreGoogle Maps, service by service
Your Google Business Profile lists each service and links it to its page, so you show up for “sports physio”, not only “physio”.
Learn moreNo “specialist” slip-ups
Physiotherapy has no specialist registration, so “specialist sports physio” breaks the Board’s rules. We write titles the way the Board accepts.
Booking the right appointment
New patients book into Cliniko, Nookal, Halaxy or your own system, with the right physio and appointment type already chosen.

Once your website is live
More physiotherapy marketing services we provide
Once the website books patients, we add Google Ads, SEO, Google Maps care and AI SEO for physio clinics. Google Ads starts when you hire another physio. SEO starts when you add Pilates, exercise physiology or a second clinic.
Google Ads for physiotherapists
Sports injury, back pain and post-surgery searches, sent to the physio who has the free appointments.
Physiotherapy SEO
Pages for each discipline and suburb, for when the clinic grows past one service or one site.
Google Maps care for physios
Review requests when patients finish treatment, plus posts and photos that keep your profile fresh.
AI SEO for physiotherapists
Every condition page answers a question patients already ask ChatGPT about their injury.
What to pay for, and when
The New Patient Growth Ladder for physios
With one or two physios, most of the time a website linked to Google Maps is all you need. When you start hiring physios, add Google Ads to fill their diaries. When you add Pilates, exercise physiology or another clinic, add SEO.
- 2+ disciplines and/or 2+ clinicsRung 3: + SEO
- 3+ physiosRung 2: + Google Ads
- 1–2 physiosRung 1: Website + Google MapsStart here
AI SEO is part of rung one and grows with rung three. Many physio clinics reach rung two sooner than other practices, because they hire graduates. The ladder is the rule, and the call confirms your rung, because there are always exceptions.

Why physiotherapists work with us
Your clinic's strengths first
The interview finds what your physios are best at, whether that's running injuries, pelvic health or getting people back to work, and the marketing leads with it.
Inside the Physiotherapy Board's rules
Every page and ad follows the Physiotherapy Board's advertising guidance: no testimonials, no implied specialist titles, no promised results.
Bookings, not clicks
Your report counts new patient bookings by service and physio, and what each one costs you.
The rung you're on, nothing more
A two-physio clinic hears it needs a website and Google Maps. We hold off on Google Ads until you're hiring.
Your booking system stays
Cliniko, Nookal, Halaxy, Splose, Power Diary or anything else your front desk uses.
Yours to keep
The website, every page and your Google profile belong to your clinic. No lock-in.
Physiotherapy marketing questions clinic owners ask
How much does physiotherapy marketing cost?
Physiotherapy marketing costs depend on which services your clinic needs, so we work it out with you on a free New Patient Growth Call rather than quote blind. A clinic with one or two physios usually only needs rung one: a website and Google Maps, paid once. Google Ads and SEO are monthly, and we only recommend them when your clinic is ready.
Do I need SEO or Google Ads for my physio clinic?
Most physio clinics need one of them, not both, and which one depends on how you're growing. Hiring physios? Google Ads fills a new diary fastest, because it works from the first day. Adding Pilates, exercise physiology or a second clinic? That's when SEO earns its keep. One or two physios at one clinic usually need neither yet. The call confirms which rung you're on.
How do I fill a new graduate physio's diary?
Fill a new graduate's diary by sending them the patients they're ready for, through Google Ads. Word of mouth tends to run out around the third practitioner, and a new graduate has no regulars. Ads on searches like sports injuries or back pain, sent to pages that name the new physio and show their free times, put bookings in their diary while their own reputation builds.
How do I get more direct bookings, not just GP and WorkCover referrals?
Make sure referred and searching patients can find you and book in a few taps. Many physio clinics live on GP, surgeon and WorkCover referrals, but referred patients Google you first, and a confusing website loses them. A GP chronic condition plan covers only five allied health visits a year, across every discipline. Pages for each condition, linked to your Google profile, bring in private patients too.
How do I compete with chiropractors, osteos and Pilates studios?
Explain what a physio does that they don't, without knocking anyone. People with back pain often don't know whether to see a physio, a chiropractor or an osteo, and reformer studios sell Pilates on price. Pages on how you assess an injury, what your rehab plan looks like and why clinical Pilates is run by a physio give those patients a reason to choose you.
Can I call myself a specialist sports physio?
No, unless you hold the Specialist Physiotherapist credential from the Australian College of Physiotherapists. Physiotherapy has no specialist registration, and the Physiotherapy Board names “specialist sports physiotherapist” as unacceptable. You can say “APA Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist” if you hold that title, or “working primarily in sports injuries”. We write every bio, page and ad that way.
Do you work with Cliniko and Nookal?
Yes. We work with the booking systems physio clinics use, including Cliniko, Nookal, Halaxy, Splose and Power Diary. Your patients still book in your system. We set up what comes before it, so a new patient picks the right appointment type (initial consult, Pilates assessment or pelvic health) and the right physio.
How long before my physio clinic sees more bookings?
It depends on the service. The website shows first: our chiropractor in Mackay went from 5.9 to 9.3 online bookings a day in the first 10 days. Google Ads bring bookings from the day they go live. Google Maps and SEO build over months. We can't promise a number of new patients, because no one can. But this is what we see again and again with past clients.
What happens on the New Patient Growth Call?
Thirty minutes on Zoom with Marlon. We look at your physio clinic the way a new patient finds it: Google Maps and ChatGPT first, then your website and how booking works. You leave knowing which rung you're on and your next step. If you don't need us, we'll tell you.
Book your New Patient Growth Call
In 30 minutes we assess your physio clinic and give you the next best step to more bookings: whether your website is ready to take them, whether your Google Maps profile is set up, and whether you need Google Ads or SEO yet.
